Synopsis:

Eighteen-year-old Kae-Ae, a spirited Moken islander, sees his life turned upside down when he discovers a camera lying silent at the bottom of the sea during a dive with his father, Hook. Back on shore, Kae-Ae shows the strange find to his closest friends, Ngei and Tai. Tai believes the camera is a lucky gift from the spirits of their ancestors and urges him to sell it, but Ngei insists they should try to find its owner first. But when he finally sees what’s inside, the footage leaves him in utter shock. The owner sends his men to hunt down Kae-Ae and reclaim the missing camera, with the files inside containing crucial information connected to someone’s life and family business. The chase forces Kae-Ae to flee the Surin Islands. Kae-Ae is on the run. The owner’s men chase him from place to place, but he survives each time — guided by his instincts, his Moken heritage, and the lessons his father once taught him about the sea and life itself. What secret within the mysterious footage has turned Kae-Ae’s world upside down? And perhaps… life itself is nothing more than a journey with no end
