Synopsis:
Mit, a chief engineer, relocates with his teenage daughter, May, to an old two-story wooden house in Nong Chok, a predominantly Muslim suburb of Bangkok. Still grieving the recent death of his wife—a tragedy he blames on his own negligence—Mit is consumed by guilt and plagued by frequent, unexplained headaches. From the moment they arrive, he feels a sense of alienation and unease towards the locals, who issue a single warning: while he is free to renovate the house, nothing inside should be moved or discarded.
Among the neighbour is Heem, a Muslim man who lingers suspiciously near the house, adding to Mit’s distrust. Skeptical of local superstitions, Mit disregards their warnings and removes the talismans within the home. In doing so, he unwittingly releases malevolent djinns bound by a 200-year-old curse.
